I've been sick

Last Sunday I woke up with an awful pain in my ear. The family I was staying with had one of the doctor tools to look in your ear with. She said it was pretty swollen. I have not been able to hear out of it for a week now.

Over this weekend I developed a sinus infection. I am in so much pain. Last week I missed 3 days of school and just slept a ton. They take you to the hospital here. That's where the Dr. is at. I will be going tomorrow morning with my liaison. She will translate for me. I got lucky and my liaison can speak English really well and loves to learn. She is so funny. This last week I haven't left my bed much if I didn't have to. I stayed in Nanjing this weekend in a soft comfy American bed. =)

It's been awhile

So a few weeks ago I went out to dinner by myself. A little boy and his family came in. He was maybe 10. He saw me and rolled his eyes because most Chinese parents make their children say hi to the foreigners even if they do not want to.

I got meat chow mein. Which is meat fried noodles. Funny thing is there is absolutely no meat in the noodles. Nice.

People can bring their own drinks to the restaurant.  A couple came and had a bottle of wine that they asked to be opened. It made me laugh that that's okay to do here.

There are so many things that are different here.

Just Realizing I Can Post Videos

This was the last part of my walk to school. The videos aren't uploading great right now. I will try again later.

Sharing the Love- My Chinese Babies

Simon the Chinese Boy

Ready for a good laugh?? Soooo I was walking with my oldest class to another classroom we use for English lessons. One of the boys came to walk by me and stopped to say something to his friend. The next thing I know my butt is being grabbed... a full hand grabbing my butt. I jumped and whipped around and here is this 7 year old Chinese boy with the biggest grin on his face. It was all I could do to try and tell him No. He was so cute and laughing.... Darn Kids!

Simon is on the left!
